Sanjiv Bhavnani
An Engineering Graduate from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh with Post Graduate Diplomas in Management and Information Technology and a vast experience of over 25 years working with leading IT Companies.
Starting his career in 1983 with Blue Star Ltd. he worked on the establishment of several Computer Room Projects including NIC, USIS, Maruti, IARI, IAMR, Uptron etc. as a Project Engineer. In 1986 he joined the Systems Division of CMC Ltd.(then a Govt. of India Enterprise)wherein he had wide exposure to every facet of Information Technology, since CMC was then the largest IT solution provider in India. In the year 1989 he joined Tecnova Information Systems Ltd. (a Company co-promoted by the French Transnationals, Elf Aquitane, Pechinay and Credit Agricole) as Vice President - Marketing. During this period he gained a major insight into International Marketing & Contracting. In the year 1990 he joined Meera Information Technologies (a software export division of a listed 50 crore Company- Meera & Co. Ltd.) as the CEO.
Going on to start Infotecnics in 1991, he built it into one of the most respected, recognized and fast growing System Integration Companies in India by 2002- at which stage the business of Infotecnics was taken over by public owned, Bangalore-based ERP major- Visesh Infosystems Ltd. Ever since then, as CEO & Managing Director of the merged (and renamed) entity, he guided it to form its global vision and spread into new technologies, applications and markets. Under his astute leadership the Company grew into what Deloitte recognised as one of India's and Asia-Pacific's fastest growing Technology companies three years running.
He was awarded the "Udyog Rattan" in 2007 and was included in the International Who's Who of Professionals and Madison Who's Who for his outstanding contributions to the Indian IT Industry.
After his resignation as CEO & MD of BSE, NSE & SGX listed Visesh Infotecnics Ltd. in October '08, he founded Mentorpreneur Advisors. He has also been a Director of Image Analyser Limited (UK); a Director of Opentech Thai Network Specialists Limited (Thailand) and the Chairman of Cyberworks Visesh LLC (USA).
Deepak Gupta
An alumnus of IIT-Delhi in 1971, he had his early foundations in the analog and discrete digital era as a telecom equipment designer with several companies in India. He then headed for Zambia in 1982 and worked for a mining company. This was followed by a stint, as the CTO for a Japanese long-distance carrier for several years. He worked with some of the best known companies like KDD, China Unicom, KPN, Telia and Star Telecom.
He went on to start Eurus Network Services in 2002 when the call center industry in India was in its nascent stage and was entirely reliant on expensive tier-2 and 3 US-based telecom carriers for voice services. Eurus established its own switching facility in the US, with telecom facilities equipped to cater to call center traffic-that has significantly different characteristics than regular telecom traffic.
With over 35 years experience, Deepak heads the Telecom Committee of the Business Process Industry Association of India (BPIAI) and is an Executive Council Member of the Internet Service Providers Association of India.
Shyam Malhotra
An alumnus of IIT, Delhi and IIM, Calcutta, Shyam is the Executive Director and Editor in Chief of BSE & NSE listed, Cyber Media India Limited- India's first and largest group of IT and Telecom publications.
An engineer and business administrator by training, Shyam began his career in marketing, working for Siemens, Tata Exports and Eicher Goodearth. He has been associated with CyberMedia since 1985 in varied capacities and has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry. Today, CyberMedia is the largest specialty media house in South Asia and amongst India's top five magazine publishers. With 15 publications, 12 websites, more than 100 events and weekly TV programs, it reaches out to a community of over 1.5 million people. Its Media Services include market research, job board, content outsourcing and distribution.
With his extensive exposure to the IT industry in India since its formative days, Shyam has mentored several well known C-Level executives in the industry and is an accredited "Executive Coach".
Dr. Manoj Saxena
A Gold Medalist in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering with a Masters in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in the area of Distributed Artificial Intelligence from IIT (Delhi), Dr. Saxena is a first generation entrepreneur and Founder CEO of Netedge Computing Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
A System Architect and Computer Networking Professional having over twentyfive years of experience in IT Services and Telecommunication with a specialization in Data Communication, Networking, Distributed Systems and IBM Mainframe Systems, he has undergone training at IBM Australia on MVS and VM System Programming and at Cornell University on Distributed Systems. He was a member of the committee constituted by Department of Electronics, Government of India for controlling the menace of Computer Viruses and is also a registered Computer Consultant with Asian Development Bank and a voting member of the IEEE committee on LAN standards.
He founded NetEdge in 1992 after working with leading Indian IT companies like HCL and CMC Ltd. He is the driving force behind the company, providing vision and direction throughout the company's growth. Involved in the conceptualization, design, and architecture of several cutting-edge software products at NetEdge, Dr. Saxena has mentored and encouraged the research and development at NetEdge, incubating new ideas and initiatives that add value added services and exceed customer expectations to clients. Netedge has tied up with NSIC to establish the Netedge NSIC Training cum Incubation Center at NOIDA under a Public Private Partnership model to foster entrepreneurship and self employment opportunities in India.
